Job Title: Application Engineer 

Reports to: Technical Supervisor, HVAC 

Location: WaiGang, Jia Ding District, Shanhgai 

Job Objectives: 

The HVAC application engineer, designs Fluid Transfer Products (like AC lines, TOC lines, Water hoses) according to customer specifications. He or she interacts with Customer and internal cross-functional teams to create products to meet Customer functionality, timing, and cost needs while maintaining Company plant feasibility requirements and profit margins. 

Main Responsibilities: 

-Supports BOM cost and process for new RFQ estimating 

-Support business unit at customer management meetings, tech reviews and tech shows 

-Lead Engineer for HVAC products 

-Responsible for the design of HVAC assemblies and components. 

-Coordinating regular design reviews (drawing reviews) and providing design status updates. 

-Help define technology requirements for the region and communicate with Globe development team 

-Support BOM, PFD and documents for customer side 

-Mentor program teams for products as needed 

-Train and support the local team in order to: 

a) Ensure designs meet all functional SOR requirements 

b) Report program design status and meet design time lines 

c) DFMEA’s reviews 

d) Support local testing, such as DVP&R 

e) Implement engineering changes. 

Requirements: 

-Good management and team building skills 

-Must have good technical and mechanical aptitude skills 

-Ability to work at all levels of the OEM organization at least 2 years experience 

-Ability to influence, motivate and control situations. 

-Know Customer specifications and requirements 

-Good written, presentation and drawing skills 

-Through understanding of DFMEA’s, DVP&R’s, PFMEA’s, Control Plans, APQP’s and 8D’s. 

-Should have computer skills including the following software programs: UG, CATIA, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project. 

-In-depth experience with drawing layouts, part detailing, GD&T. 

-Good English skills
